Our take
The VG248QE is an oldie but a goodie for competitive gaming. The 144Hz TN panel is incredibly responsive, and 1ms response time means no motion blur. However, colors are washed out compared to IPS, and viewing angles are poor. The 3D Vision support is a novelty that I doubt many will use. Setup is straightforward, but the OSD menu is dated. At this price, it's a good entry-level high-refresh monitor, but newer options offer better image quality. If you only care about raw performance for esports, it gets the job done.
